Google has acquired several versions accordingly in alphabetical order such as gingerbread, Honey Comb, Ice cream sandwich, Jelly bean, KitKat, etc. But it doesn't mean every device hardware supports the latest version of Android, so when there is a need to upgrade to a new launch of the device, it is essential to hide or remove the existing device from the google play store to stop being listed every time while downloading an app from Google's play store.
Why delete the old android device from the play store?
When you have signed in play store with several android devices with the same google account, then whenever you download an app (or) game from google's play store, this will list you all the device that has been used to sign in play store and will prompt you to select a device to start the installation process.
Message Prompts something like this: "This app is compatible with some of your devices".
